Your Personal Mission: Possible!

The Clergy Benefits Academy welcomes clergy in all ages and stages of ministry—new ordinands, early-career clergy, mid-career clergy, ready-to-retire clergy, district superintendents, clergy in extension ministries—and spouses are welcome, too. There is something for everyone!

Register by October 1, 2022 and receive a $50 resort credit when you arrive at the hotel.

At the Clergy Benefits Academy you will:

  • Work on each of five dimensions of health: Spiritual, Social, Mental-Emotional, Physical and Financial
  • Gain information to help lead your congregation with mission, ministry and finances
  • Network with other clergy from across the denomination
  • Take home practical ideas, new resources and knowledge
  • Earn Continuing Education Units (CEU's)!

The Clergy Benefits Academy begins at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 14 and ends on Wednesday, November 16 with a noon fellowship lunch.

Core and Choice Classes

Core classes are scheduled on a track so you can attend each session. Your assigned track will be provided at the registration table when you arrive. Choice classes and optional sessions are available throughout. There are no scheduled sessions (only optional sessions) in the evenings so you can relax, connect with others, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Continuing Education Units (CEU’s)

  • 1.5 CEU’s will be awarded for completing 10 classes at this event.
  • 1.0 CEU will be awarded for completing 7-9 classes.

The cost for the CBA event is $179.00 ($339.00 with spouse).

The registration fee includes:

  • Breakfast and lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Refreshment breaks throughout
  • Academy materials

Scholarship Opportunities

Limited scholarship opportunities are available to help defray the cost of attending through the Clergy Financial Well-Being program. If you feel you cannot attend this event due to the cost, please reach out and explore the scholarship opportunity. Please contact a member of the events team for more information.

In addition, many Foundations and Conferences are offering scholarships. Please contact your local United Methodist Foundation or Conference Benefits Officer to see if scholarships are available.

Wespath has negotiated a special room rate of $149.00 plus tax per night at the host hotel. Mention the group code (CBA) to get the discounted rate. The room rate is available on a first-come, first-served basis until Friday, October 14, 2022 - based on availability.

Please Note: Making the hotel reservation and paying for hotel accommodations are the responsibilities of the attendee. Please tell the hotel you are attending the Clergy Benefits Academy to obtain the negotiated rate.

    Since launching Say Goodnight to Hunger in June 2016, Omni Hotels & Resorts has made a donation to Feeding America® that helps provide one meal for every completed stay. To date, nearly 16 million meals have been donated to help Feeding America provide nutritious meals for food banks to feed children, families and seniors in communities across the United States. Omni is committed to helping the local communities in which it is located, so this event directly benefits food banks in Colorado. For each completed stay at any participating Omni, regardless of how the reservation is made, Omni donates one meal to a family in need. By attending this event and staying onsite at the host hotel, we are helping to feed families in need. Through this amazing program, Omni hopes to Say Goodnight to Hunger for good.

Attire

Casual, comfortable attire is appropriate for the CBA. As the event is taking place in Colorado during November, there is the possibility for cooler temperatures, so watch the weather reports before you travel and pack accordingly.

In addition, temperatures in hotel meeting rooms often vary, so wearing layers or bringing a sweater/cover-up is recommended.

Meals

Breakfast and lunch will be provided during the CBA on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Child Care Information

If you are interested in child care for the Clergy Benefits Academy, please indicate so during the registration process.

The revitup! event for clergy under the age of 39 meets Wednesday – Friday and complimentary childcare is provided. If you wish to attend the Clergy Benefits Academy and have young children, please let us know and we will consider extending the complimentary childcare option for this event as well.
