Response to Media Reports Regarding Ernst & Young (EY) Employee Women’s Leadership Training

The Women’s Leadership Training provided to a group of EY Employees by a third-party vendor does not reflect the values of Wespath or the UMC. Therefore, senior leaders from Wespath began a candid conversation with a senior executive at EY today to express our significant concerns.

As Wespath strives to do with all of our partners, we urged EY to improve practices that make a positive impact on its employees and stakeholders. During the conversation we found them to be responsive to addressing our concerns. As reported, EY has cut ties with the vendor providing the training and they are conducting a full review of the situation. We’re engaging with them to bring the UMC voice to the table.
