Health Ministry

UMC Health Ministry Network
The UMC Health Ministry Network supports local church health ministry efforts. This initiative—a partnership effort between Wespath and the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR Health)—helps churches promote health to their clergy, congregants and communities whether initiating a health ministry program or sustaining one.

Well-Being Programs Available as Standalone (“A la Carte”)

Wespath extends Virgin Pulse and Blueprint for Wellness to other United Methodist Church annual conferences and organizations that have their own health plans, i.e., those not adopting HealthFlex as their group health plan. This enables more of the UMC to sponsor the programs that have demonstrated positive impact on health and well-being in the HealthFlex population over time.

Well-Being Programs Included in HealthFlex

HealthFlex well-being programs have been recognized with the Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles award from the National Business Group on Health. HealthFlex allows UMC plan sponsors to offer well-being programs of the caliber typically offered by large, Fortune 500 companies.

Participants can log into HealthFlex/WebMD for details about Virgin Pulse, Blueprint for Wellness, WebMD coaching, HealthQuotient (HQ), employee assistance program and wellness incentives.
