Life and Disability Coverage for Added Protection

LifeOptions offers employer-sponsored insurance plans designed for individuals to help protect your income if the unexpected happens. These plans provide an added layer of financial security through life insurance and long-term disability coverage.

LifeOptions plans are available to lay and clergy not enrolled in the Comprehensive Protection Plan (CPP).  In addition, plan sponsors can elect supplemental life insurance for clergy covered in CPP.

Overview of LifeOptions Plans

Local churches and other UMC plan sponsors may choose to adopt any or all LifeOptions plans. Because coverage options vary by plan sponsor, the specific plans available to you depend on what your plan sponsor has elected to offer.

Each plan is designed to address different needs, whether that means replacing income if you become unable to work or helping your loved ones manage financially after a loss. Certain plans also give you the option to purchase additional coverage for yourself or your family.
