Throughout this website, "Wespath" refers to Wespath Benefits and Investments, Incorporated in Illinois including its division Wespath Investment Management and its affiliate the UMC Benefit Board Inc.
Wespath respects the privacy of visitors to our websites (Sites). As the custodian of our clients’ data, we are committed to protecting the personal information of our participants and institutional clients. We are honoring that commitment by disclosing here the nature of the limited information that is collected from our websites (wespath.org, wespath.com, and ccpi-umc.org) and how such information is used.
Information Collected by Wespath
Wespath gathers two types of information about users:
Information that users provide through optional, voluntary submissions. These are voluntary submissions including but not limited to: communicating with Wespath via online forms, requesting materials that require mailing, receiving any electronic newsletters, and from participation in online polls and surveys.
Information Wespath gathers through aggregated tracking information derived mainly by tallying page views throughout the Site(s). This information allows us to better understand our audience's interests and thus tailor our content to readers' needs. Under no circumstances does Wespath divulge any information gathered from our Sites about users to a third party.
Wespath tracks user traffic patterns throughout the Sites based upon aggregate server statistics. However, we do not correlate this information with personally identifiable data about individual users. Wespath does break down overall usage statistics according to a user's domain name, browser type, and MIME type by reading this information from the browser string (information contained in every user's browser).
Wespath also tracks and catalogs the search terms users enter in our Search function, but this tracking is never associated with individual users. We use tracking information to determine both the effectiveness of existing content and audience demand for future content. This helps us continue to better our service to visitors and participants.
Wespath uses other companies, agents or contractors ("Service Providers") to enhance security and limit fraud in connection with our participants’ use of the website. In the course of providing such services, these Service Providers may have access to your personal or other information such as device IDs or unique identifiers, device and software characteristics (e.g., type and configuration), connection information, statistics on page views, referral URLs, ad data, IP address and standard web log information. We do not authorize them to use or disclose participant personal information except in connection with providing their services.
