The Overseas Pension Corporation (OPC) Board is a subsidiary of Wespath’s Board of Directors with responsibility for oversight of the Central Conference Pensions (CCP) program and CCP funds. Recently, this small subsidiary board expanded its membership to include two members who live in the central conferences.

Moss Kapumha of Zimbabwe and Liz Mariano of the Philippines were elected to the OPC Board on December 14, 2020. The OPC Board grew from three to five members with their addition.

Kapumha and Mariano joined the existing OPC Board of U.S.-based Bishop Paul Leeland, OPC Board Chair; Rev. Tracy Bass, Recording Secretary of the Wespath Board; and Barbara Boigegrain, Wespath’s General Secretary and Chief Executive Officer.

The OPC Board also recently discussed potential bylaws changes regarding member elections and terms that would bring it into alignment with other Wespath subsidiary boards.

At present, new OPC Board members are nominated by Wespath staff, elected by the OPC Board and serve until a successor is elected. This is different from other Wespath subsidiary boards, in which new members are nominated by the Wespath Board Nominating Committee, elected by the Wespath Board and usually serve four-year terms.
