Stable Value Fund Crediting Rate

November 2016—the annualized crediting rate for the Stable Value Fund was:

1.40%

Interest is determined daily and credited to participant accounts at the end of each month, and/or when the entire balance from the Stable Value Fund is withdrawn or transferred.

Prior to June 1, 2010, Wespath Benefits and Investments (Wespath) estimated and set the crediting rate at the beginning of each month. Currently Wespath determines the crediting rate based on the actual daily interest earned by the underlying fund assets. The crediting rate—reflecting actual interest earned that month—is posted to this page at the end of the month.

1 The May 2015 Stable Value Fund Crediting Rate includes a one-time special credit applied to participant accounts on May 29, 2015. This one-time special credit of 2.74% was a result of changes made to the Stable Value Fund to accommodate significant withdrawals from the Stable Value Fund. These significant withdrawals resulted from changes to the LifeStage Investment Management Service. At the time of these withdrawals, the investments within the Stable Value Fund had a market value, in aggregate, that was greater than the aggregate value of participant unit balances. This excess market value was distributed to all participants accounts holding units in the Stable Value Fund as of May 29, 2015 in proportion to each participant’s share of the Stable Value Fund. Distributing this excess aggregate market value, as a one-time special credit, will reduce the market value of Stable Value Fund investments so that it is equal to the aggregate value of participant unit balances. It is likely that the monthly crediting rate for the Stable Value Fund will be lower for the foreseeable future than the crediting rate experienced in the months prior to May 2015.
