Barbara Boigegrain
General Secretary and Chief Executive Officer

Barbara has served as the chief executive officer of Wespath Benefits and Investments since 1994. As general secretary, she oversees all fiduciary services and administrative operations.

Before joining Wespath Benefits and Investments, Barbara spent 11 years with Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson). Prior to that, Barbara held positions with Dart Industries in the group insurance benefits function and with KPMG Peat Marwick tax practice. Barbara received her bachelor’s degree from Trinity University and completed graduate coursework at the University of Chicago and UCLA.

Barbara is active in a number of professional associations. She also serves as a standing director of the Church Benefits Association and is a standing Steering Committee member of, and currently chairs, the Church Alliance.

Bill Kavanaugh
Chief Operating Officer

Bill joined Wespath in 2016. As chief operating officer, he oversees Wespath’s administrative and operational departments.

Before joining Wespath, Bill worked at Allstate Insurance Company where he most recently held the dual role of senior vice president, Life and Retirement Distribution and president and chief executive officer, Allstate Financial Services, LLC. Prior to that, he spent 10 years with Securian Financial Group.

Bill received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Florida and his master’s degree in financial services from The American College. He also has received certification as a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter and Accredited Estate Planner.

Tim Koch
Chief Financial Officer

Tim has served as the chief financial officer of Wespath Benefits and Investments since 2007. Tim is responsible for the treasury and accounting functions as well as actuarial services, and leads the Central Conference Pensions (CCP) program. Tim has responsibility for FACT (Financial Advisory Consulting Team) and has been instrumental in leading financial discussions across the conferences.

Former employers include BP/Amoco; Georgia Pacific; AON; and JP Morgan Chase. Tim began his career as an auditor for Deloitte and Touche. Tim received his bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA from Northwestern University. Tim also holds a certified public accountant designation.

Andrew Hendren
General Counsel

Andy joined Wespath Benefits and Investments in 2004. As general counsel, Andy oversees the legal and compliance departments, as well as Wespath’s audit and risk management functions. He serves as Wespath’s corporate secretary. From 2001 to 2004, he worked at the law firm of Sidley Austin LLP in Chicago, practicing in the area of ERISA and employee benefits. Prior to that Andy was a law clerk to Chief Justice William Ray Price of the Missouri Supreme Court.

He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO, his master’s degree in economics from Iowa State University and his law degree from the University of California – Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law. Andy serves as secretary and treasurer of the Church Alliance and chairs the Church Alliance’s Core Lawyer Working Group.

Dave Zellner
Chief Investment Officer

Dave has been with Wespath since 1997 and is responsible for the investments division, comprised of investment management, investment services and sustainable investment strategies.

Former employers include Shell Oil Company, where he managed equity portfolios for Shell’s retirement plans, and Investment Research Company (an investment management firm) where he was a portfolio manager and responsible for managing the firm’s investment operations.

As chief investment officer, Dave executes and administers Wespath’s investment program as directed by its Investment Strategy Statement and Statement of Administrative Investment Policy. Dave received his bachelor's degree in finance from Louisiana State University and his MBA from the University of Houston.
